Why are you a Hanson fan? They write their own music, and play their own instrument and create decent songs (if you can get pass MMMBop). They are cute and are friendly or so I have heard. They someone I can truly look up to, their music I also cheers me up when I am down.

Musical Days in History

Music has always been such a huge part of my life. There has been a day that goes by that I don’t at least listen to music. . . I am even listening to it as I am typing this. . .

In 1997 three guys from Tulsa, OK encouraged and inspired in musical ways that I never thought I could be inspired. At the age of 10, 14, and17, Hanson came out with song “Mmmbop.” I will tell you at the time I was writing my own poetry and songs and I thought the song was rather annoying and “poppie.” I was big into Aerosmith, Green Day, Alanis Morissette, and other alterative rock at the time. I was also working on several different events where I was singing solos. . . concerts, contests, and even my 8th grade graduation.

So one day in May 1997 I made myself sit down and watch the “MMMBOP” and after I saw them playing their own instruments and how young they’re were. . . I was hooked and I went out to the store and bought their CD.

There is something about Taylor Hanson that my always blows me away. . . maybe it is the blond hair, blue eyes, pouty lips, and the fact that he can sing. . . I don’t know. They inspired me to keep music in my sight and not to be afraid to accomplish my dreams, which are put on the back burner (long story).

They write their own music, they all play multiple instruments, and they enjoy performing for the fans as well as getting their fans involved. Now they are also giving half of their ticket profits to people in Africa to fight poverty and to find a cure for AIDs. They are working with a company called Tom's shoes and they also give shoes to the children in Africa.

Anyway they are playing right now in Cleveland. . . I couldn’t go to the show. I have seen them twice live, but neither time did they even know I was there. . . I couldn’t even get enough money to see them in the walk in downtown earlier today. . . I am bummed, but I hoped they had a good time in Cleveland.

It's Out in the Open

I've been listening to music since before I could speak. I've been performing music since I was 7 years old. There have been a lot of recording artists and musicians that have inspired me. I can sit here and list them all, but that would take forever. I grew up with Motown, 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's playing in my house: from Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Meatloaf to Madonna, Carey Simon, and Barbra Streisand.

However no other group or band has ever impacted me as musically as three brothers from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ever since May of 1997, I have liked a musical band. I have told some about this band, but most of the time I would get mocked and teased for just listening to them let alone liking them. I felt that I should tell what band I like now instead of hiding their CD in my coat. I feel like I am buying drugs the way I used to smuggle them CDs so my friends wouldn't see them. It wasn't until my sophomore year before I admitted to liking them, because I was afraid to get teased. I shouldn't have been afraid, as I had met several friends who also liked them.

When I first "Mmmbop," I would turn off the radio, but one day I was watching MTV (when they still aired music videos) and I saw "Mmmbop." I sat down and watched the entire thing. I had liked them every since. It was catchy, and they were close my age which gave me hope in my own music that I was writing and playing.

Hanson gets teased and put down for their long hair and in their early career their high voices. The song "Mmmbop” will also haunt many people for a long time. However if you can get pass the song that was played over the radio at 5 million times in 1997, you can see that they aren't that bad of a band.
They play their own instruments.
They write their own songs.
They have seen parts of the world I have only dreamt of seeing.
They got picked on, because they can't live down a song that has gone Multi-platinum, and was number 1 on 1997 charts for several weeks. . . I think it was something like 20 weeks. They really have evolved in their music, and on their latest CD, they are helping out children in Africa. When others were hiding their music from their parents as it had violent lyrics or sexual content, I could honesty say I didn't have to hide my music.

I was a Hanson fan. I am a Hanson fan. I will be a Hanson fan in the future. They write decent, catchy musicIt was my deep dark secret, and I feel better to have gotten it out.

While celebrating 1 millionth performance several tragic accidents happened today on a New York stage. Clarke Isaac Hanson (Isaac, 48), Jordan Taylor Hanson( Taylor, 45), and Zachary Walker Hanson (Zack 40) were rushed into the local hospital last bight to pronounced death this morning. Each brother had tragic accidents during what was supposed to be a normal performance.
Isaac Hanson was supposed to plug in his guitar to have him electrocuted throwing him several feet across the stage as thousands of fans witnessed.The local police force are looking into the accident as many feel the death was a homicide.
Taylor Hanson was greeting fans only to have several of the fans pull him down and dismembered him. Many fans were blood covered as other had stolen pieces of him to take a piece of their favorite musician with them. The pieces that were left were sent to the hospital.
Zachary Hanson had his headset on when something when terribly wrong as the headsets are to block screaming sounds, but instead the sets emphasized them. The screeching screams of the fans, made Zachary's ear's bleed and his brain explode from the inside out. There was blood from his ears, nose and mouth, before he fell off his chair into the bass drum.
The three musicians leave behind their father and mother Walker, and Diana, four siblings Jessica, Avery, Mac and Zoe. They also had wives and children: Nikki (Isaac): Clarke, James, Frances, Dominic, and Madeline; Natalie (Taylor): Jordan, Penelope, River, Penny, Max, and Eve; Kate (Zachary): John, Lucy, Cindy, Dean, and Anne.
There are no planned dates for the funerals, but memorials with be held all weekend only at the corner 5th and the middle of nowhere street. Hanson was known in May 1997 for their song "MMMBop", and their charity work in Africa in 2007. Many fans have set out candles and CDs in from of the auditorium that hosted their last performance. Their dying wish was for their fans to be remembered by their music.
